Election process was free, accurate, legal, and fair, Sergey Markov says

Sergey Markov, head of the Civil Dialogue observation mission and director of the Russian Institute of Political Studies, stated at a press conference that the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were conducted in full accordance with Azerbaijani legislation and the Constitution. He emphasized that the process accurately reflected the will of the Azerbaijani people. “The mission will provide a comprehensive assessment of the elections tomorrow morning.”

Markov noted that the Civil Dialogue international mission has been involved in observing elections and fostering dialogue between civil societies in various countries for the past twenty years, participating in about 30 elections across more than 10 countries.

"As citizens of friendly Russia, we extend our congratulations to the friendly people of Azerbaijan on these historic elections, which were held across the country`s entire territory for the first time," he added.
